A Happy Pic
Thanks for all your support, dear readers. I appreciate it more than you know.
Thought I’d share a pic taken last week at Carmine’s. Here I am pretending to dig in to the whole “Tug Boat” (mini “Titanic” for anyone who knows it).
I shared this decadent dessert (ice cream sundae atop a flourless chocolate torte) with my family … and it was scrumptious!!!
And I am HAPPY here in this picture, and need to just get that feeling back. That day I wasn’t worrying about my body.
A friend helped me see this today, and I’m 99% sure part of this down-ness is hormonal (I am due next Tues. and the week before my period is always an emotional time for me and also a body-loathing party) but still …
I want to carry joy with me to Mexico … not self-loathing. It’s a new day.

Words of Wisdom from Carrie Bradshaw …
I have been a huge Sex & The City fan since the show began, and this weekend I watched the movie for the thirteenth time or so …
After doing that, I revisited perhaps my favorite line from the entire series, which is spoken by Carrie in the very last episode of the series.
“The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.”
Coming off a tough couple of months where I am inwardly (and outwardly) struggling with my weight, I really needed to “hear” those words. (more…)
